INTRODUCTION :
In my 40 years as a professional geologist I have spent a great deal of time systematically mapping and interpreting - or simply visiting - the geology of many parts of Canada and elsewhere, and have been privileged to be able to record some excellent images of the rocks involved.  Visual aspects of some of them are presented below, as well as links to more extensive collections of my photos.
